Khatu Shyamji Temple:
The Khatu Shyamji Temple, constructed from the renowned Makrana marble, stands in the heart of Khatu town. Khatu Shyamji, regarded as the God of Kaliyuga, is synonymous with Lord Krishna and worshipped in the same form. Shyam Kund:
Located near the temple, Shyam Kund is the holy pond from which the deity’s head (Sheesh) was retrieved. It is believed that taking a dip in this pond cures ailments and promotes good health. During the Falgun Mela, devotees from various places gather here to bathe in its sacred waters. Many also take water from the Kund, which is believed to cure several diseases.
Shyam Bagichi:
Shyam Bagichi, a blessed garden near the temple, is where flowers are picked to be offered to the deity. The Samadhi of the great devotee, Lt. Alu Singhji, is also situated within the garden premises.
Gourishankar Temple:
Near the Khatu Shyamji Temple is the Gourishankar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to legend, soldiers of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb attempted to destroy this temple. When they attacked the Shiva Linga with a spear, fountains of blood emerged, scaring the soldiers away. The mark of the spear can still be seen on the linga.
